As the first day of Parliament's Winter session commenced on Monday, Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury brought in a dog to the premises, with the BJP MPs expressing disapproval over the act.

The Rajya Sabha MP from Telangana was under fire, and she shared that she saw the puppy wandering on the road and she picked it up worrying about its safety and brought it with her to the Parliament.

She said, "I was on my way. A scooter collided with a car. This little puppy was wandering on the road. I thought it would get hit. So I picked it up, put it in the car, came to Parliament, and sent it back. The car left, and so did the dog. So what's the point of this discussion?"

She implied, "The real ones who bite are sitting in Parliament. They run the government."

She questioned whether this is against law or regulations, and said, "Does the government have nothing else to do? I sent the dog home and told them to keep it at home... We don't talk about those who sit in Parliament and bite us every day."

"We take care of a mute animal, and this has become a big issue and a topic of discussion. Does the government have nothing else to do? I sent the dog home and told them to keep it at home," The MP countered.

As the Parliamentary talks continue to be discussed, this action caused immense backlash from the BJP leaders. Many expressing their displeasure, they questioned the ethics of Renuka Chowdhury as she mentioned the analogy between dogs and the MPs sitting in the discussions.

The action is being seen as unparliamentary in nature as the winter session started off on a fiery note .
