In yet another filp-flop in the hit-and-run case involving Salman Khan, a police constable said he carried two blood samples of the Bollywood actor from Bandra police station to the forensic laboratory in an envelope, contradicting his earlier statement he carried them in an iron container.

The constable’s statement came before the Mumbai Sessions Court when he was cross-examined by defence lawyer Srikant Shivade. “I have taken the vials (containing) blood samples in an envelope (to the forensic lab),” he said.

During his examination by special public prosecutor Pradeep Gharat, he had given a statement confirming that he had carried the samples.

“I had  carried the samples in vials in an iron container and not in an envelope. I do not how it was recorded (by the magistrate) earlier… I had not mentioned anything about iron box or envelope,” he said.
