Coronavirus: Maharashtra COVID-19 cases jump to 302, biggest rise in single day

Compounding the fears, Maharashtra's COVID-19 positive cases jumped exponentially to 302 on Tuesday.

On Monday, the figures stood at 220.

On Tuesday, the reports of the positive cases rose after the reports that came from private labs were validated and included, particularly the large cases in the Mumbai metropolitan region.

In MMR itself, there has been the addition of bulk of 59 cases.

Meanwhile, Mumbai's Municipal Commissioner Praveen Pardeshi asked Assistant Commissioners of Wards to requisition the empty residential buildings, lodges, hotels, dharamshalas, clubs, gymkhanas, exhibition centres, colleges, hostels, dormitories, cruise, ships, marriage halls, banquet halls with immediate effect.
