Delhi Police has already asked all the police stations to be on alert ahead of the Ayodhya verdict while elaborate arrangements have been made for the safe conduct of the Baton Relay.

"Elaborate arrangements have been made. We have asked our men to be on alert. Already we are on a state of high alert as the Commonwealth Games is being held in the city," a senior police official said.

The official said the security arrangement made for the Games in itself will be useful in preventing any incidents arising out of the verdict on Ayodhya issue.
The reserve battalions of Delhi Police have been deployed for maintaining law and order across the city.

Delhi Police has strengthened the security deploying personnel on the route of the relay.
Adequate personnel has been deployed for the Queen's Baton Relay, a senior police official said.

"We have made the security plan for the Baton Relay months earlier. Personnel are being deployed for this," the official said.

The baton will be taken to northern parts of the city tomorrow while it will be taken to east Delhi on Friday and on October two, the baton will be taken to central Delhi.
It would be received by Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Tejendra Khanna and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit along with senior officials of the organising committee.
