The Dahanu area in Maharashtra's Palghar district, nearly 100 km from Mumbai, has received 146 mm rainfall— the maximum in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR)— From 8.30 am Monday to 8.30 am Tuesday, according to IMD's Regional Meteorological Centre.

On Tuesday, the MMR got some respite from heavy rain, that it has been experiencing since Friday night.

During the same period, the Colaba observatory recorded 53 mm rainfall while Santacruz recorded 46 mm rainfall.

There have not been any reports casualties.

As far as the Lloyd's Society at Wadala is concerned, some more parts of the soil adjacent to the compound wall caved in.
