Ramesh Agrawal, chairman of Dainik Bhaskar group of newspapers, died on Wednesday following a cardiac arrest.
The 73-year-old media czar took ill when he was at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International airport here. He was to take a flight to Rajkot.
Agrawal was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead. His last rites would be conducted in Bhopal on Thursday.
