Feeling the summer heat in the Tihar jail here, Sahara group head Subrata Roy on Wednesday urged the Supreme Court to pass an early order on a writ petition challenging his judicial custody, saying that he had become unwell due to weather conditions in the capital.

Roy was incarcerated on March 4 for non-compliance of an apex court order directing him to pay back Rs 20,000 crore of investors’ money.

A bench of justices K S Radhakrishnan and J S Khehar took note of the submission made by senior advocate Rajiv Dhawan on behalf of Roy, after it concluded its hearing on the ink-throwing incident that took place on March 4 on the Supreme Court premises. The court on April 21 reserved its order on Roy’s petition challenging its decision to send him to jail in the case relating to non-refund of investors money.
