The builder, Shishil Kothari (30), who lives in Walkeshwar area was rushing from a five star hotel where he reportedly consumed alcohol to a hospital on hearing that his wife had just delivered a baby.
The victim has been identified as Habib Zulfikar Mohammed Qureshi (48). His friend Abdul Jalil Shaikh was hurt in the incident. A case has been registered and Kothari was later granted bail.
