The condition of two-year-old baby Falak has shown no improvement since yesterday.

"Her septicaemia continues, so do infections in brain and chest," said Dr Deepak Aggarwal, Associate Professor, neurology, JPNATC, who is monitoring Falak's situation closely.

Though the condition of the child remains critical, there are some positive developments.

"We were expecting pneumonia earlier. But her recent chest X-ray shows the possibility is less," added Dr Aggarwal.

Falak's organs’ tests have also been clear, a condition less likely in case of septicaemia. "We conducted tests for all her organs, namely liver, kidney and heart. No infection was detected in any of these organs and the test results fall within the normal range," said Dr Aggarwal.

The doctors also conducted urine and trachea tests and the reports will come in two days.

On request of police, Dr Aggarwal said, "We are processing her DNA since Monday. It takes a week to 10 days to complete the process. But this will be meaningless unless the police are able to match it with her family members.”
