The Maritime Security Agency arrested the Indian fishermen during routine patrolling yesterday.The fishermen were operating 36 nautical miles inside Pakistani waters, officials said.
The officials claimed that Indian fishermen continued to "intrude into Pakistan's marine resource-rich Indus Delta to capture high quality fish products."Pakistan and India arrest hundreds of fishermen every year for violating the maritime boundary between the two countries.Many of the fishermen languish for years in Pakistani jails even after completing their prison terms.
