Mumbai: Former Team India cricketer Vinod Kambli has been admitted to a hospital in the Thane district where examinations has revealed several clots in his brain.

The 52-year-old has been battling multiple health issues for the past few years.

The southpaw is admitted to a Akruti Hospital in Thane, which neighbours Mumbai.

Kambli's condition was described as stable but critical.

In fact, the 1983 World Cup winning team too have promised help to Kambli provided he undertakes proper rehab as in the past he had issues of alcoholism.

Kambli also faces financial issues and he himself had admitted in the past.

His health because a matter of debate when he was seen at a memorial event if his mentor Ramakant Achrekar, which was also attended by his childhood friend and teammate Sachin Tendulkar.
