Much to the shock of the forest officials and environmentalists, three tigers and one tigress have gone missing from the park and are untraceable for the last six months. They could not be traced in the recent trap-camera census also.

According to the forest department officials, three male tigers—T-21, T-40, T -29 and a tigress T-27—have not been traced by them in the last six months. The males are aged between five and seven years while the female is over 10 years.

“The tigers are not found in the recent census. We have constituted a two-member committee of assistant conservators of forests and are awaiting its report,” said UM Sahai, Rajasthan Chief Conservator of Forests.

“Tiger T-21 is wearing a radio collar. The radius of the collar is just one kilometre. The officials must be within the radius to get signals,” said Sahai.
