"Recent developments in Karnataka showed how the Congress and JD(S) bribed our MLAs to rebel against the government. The High Court decision went in our favour. It is appropriate and on expected lines," Gadkari told reporters.
Gadkari said the bail granted to former Gujarat minister Amit Shah, arrested by the CBI in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, has come as a "relief".
"It is relief not only to Shah but also to the BJP. We are confident that he will get justice and will be acquitted of all charges," he said.
