Ganga Expressway to become backbone of UP's economy: CM Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on August 21 said that economy of the state will boom with the completion of the Ganga Expressway as it will cut down traveling time between Prayagraj to Meerut via Lucknow. "We are connecting Meerut in west Uttar Pradesh with Prayagraj in east Uttar Pradesh. Ganga Expressway will become the backbone of the state's economy. Travelling time from Lucknow to Meerut will decrease to 5 hours and 6.5 hours from Prayagraj to Meerut through Ganga Expressway," said the UP CM. He added, "The state government had decided to create a 594 km-long expressway between Prayagraj and Meerut. 93 per cent of the land acquisition process is completed. Agra-Lucknow Expressway has been completed. I am grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and FM Sitharaman for allocation of funds in the Union Budget for big infrastructure development."
