Santosh Raul alias Sarathi Baba, the Odisha godman arrested by the state crime branch (CB) police, has come under the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) attention for alleged illegal transactions.
CB sources said the ED has written to the state investigating agency asking bank account and financial details of Sarathi and Satyam Charitable Trust he runs. The baba is currently lodged in a prison in Choudwar near Cuttack after his CB remand came to an end a couple of days ago.
The CB has so far traced 33 bank account in which about Rs 3 crore has been parked. Probe is currently on to locate more bank accounts and transactions. The agency has raided several places and questioned his Chartered Accountants. Besides his financial dealings and illegal real-estate purchases, the godman is also being probed for his alleged sexual activities.
