Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government of playing a "passive" role against growing religious intolerance.

"Growing religious intolerance even at the heart of India's capital is due to the passive role played by the Modi-led NDA Government," Gogoi tweeted today.
Such passive role will not only hamper national integration but also economic development, he added.

The Chief Minister was reacting to the recent attacks on Churches in Delhi and the NDA-led government's alleged "inaction and silence" on the issue.
