Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday said the Punjabi community can never forget how the most sacred Golden Temple in Amritsar was desecrated by Indian troops and attacked by tanks and canons on the orders of the then Congress leadership.

He said several innocent devotes including women and children were massacred in the military operation. Badal, while addressing a well-participated rally in Punjab's Gowindwal on Monday, said the Sikhs can also never imagine pardoning the Congress and its dubious leadership which perpetrated the genocide of Sikhs in 1984 post Indira Gandhi’s assassination.

He also dared Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh to decipher the lineage of Congress party which he said has remained inimical to the interests of Punjab.
