Just as Prime Minister Modi had undertaken integration of portfolios by allocating similar ministries to one person, a similar pattern would be followed in Maharashtra.

The BJP team in Maharashtra would replicate the – 'minimum government maximum governance' mantra – and the focus of the government would be on development, rather fast development. One of the key areas would be infrastructure, water and power.

The Krishna Valley Development Corporation would be merged with the Water Resources Department, while the Maharashtra Sate Road Development Corporation would be merged with the PWD. There would be one minister controlling Forests and Revenue, while Home and Transport would be given to one minister.

The chief minister would handle departments like Urban, Housing, General Administration and the CMO would handle projects like Metro Rail, Mono Rail, Expressways and big-ticket infrastructure projects.
