The Gujarat High Court on Wednesday issued show cause notice to Ahmedabad district Collector asking why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against him for delaying compensation to 2002 riot victims despite a court order.
The notice comes a week after the it indicted the state government for non-restoration of religious places destroyed during the communal riots.
