Human trafficking racket busted, three arrested

The smashing of the human trafficking gang came as Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which guards the airport, intercepted a passenger carrying fake security stamps of the Bureau of Immigration and Air India on Saturday night, just before he was to board an Air India (AI 014) flight to Canada via Amritsar.

The incident occurred at about 2315 hours on Saturday and the flight was scheduled for 0100 hours on Sunday , a senior security official here said.

Incidentally, two other associates of this passenger, identified as Kulwant Singh, had already got the security check done and were waiting for him in the departure lounge before Central Industrial Security Force cops nabbed them. All three had valid boarding passes.  The Central Industrial Security Force handed over the trio to Delhi police which has charged them under Sections 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery), 471 (use of forged document as genuine) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
