New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday and warmly congratulated him on his 73rd birthday.
Modi conveyed to Putin his best wishes for good health and success in all endeavours of the president of Russia.
“Spoke with my friend President Putin and conveyed warm birthday greetings and best wishes for his good health and long life. Deeply appreciate his personal commitment to deepening India–Russia ties over the years,” Modi posted on X after speaking to Putin.
They reviewed the progress in the bilateral agenda and reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.
Modi conveyed to Putin that he would look forward to welcoming the president of Russia to India for the 23rd annual bilateral summit.
“Both sides expressed interest in developing the special and privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia and briefly discussed preparations for the President of Russia's upcoming visit to India, to be made in December this year,” a spokesperson of Putin said in Moscow.
