During its presser on the Joshimath crisis, the Congress questioned what Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami was doing from January 3 and why it took him till January 7 to reach the in-crisis town.
The most recent issue started rearing its head in November 2021 and the Congress made an independent representation to the BJP about the same, but it was ignored, the grand old party said in its presser at the AICC headquarters.
AICC media and PR chairman Pawan Khera on Monday questioned why it took this long for the Centre to take cognisance of the brewing crisis in Joshimath and demanded that it be declared a national disaster.
"It's a book without any value. It's the frustration of the BJP. If Siddaramaiah has done any wrong then who stopped them from taking action? They've been rejected by people. We are Hindus and respect Constitution," saidKarnataka Congress chief D K Shivakumar on a book released on Siddaramaiah. (ANI)

AAP on Monday protested outside Delhi BJP headquarters demanding the suspension of the BJP-appointed Speaker, as per reports.
"In the last 3.5 years, Tamil Nadu CM has led the state on the development path. As a result, Tamil Nadu has been adjudged the best-performing state in the recent state-of-state survey,"RN Ravi, Tamil Nadu Governor said in the state Assembly.
"To celebrate Pongal in a festive manner, CM has ordered the distribution of Rs 1,000 cash, 1 kg rice, 1kg sugar & 1 sugarcane to 2.19 crore rice cardholders in the state at a cost of Rs 2,429 crores. I am confident this will help people to celebrate Pongal," said Tamil Nadu Governor.
