Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) houses at least 17 terror camps where around 300 terrorists are being readied to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir for terror attacks, India was to tell Pakistan during the National Security Adviser (NSA)-level talks.
New Delhi had prepared a dossier with evidence to hand over to Pakistani NSA Sartaj Aziz, which cannot be done now as the talks have been called off. Official sources said the terrorists being trained belonged to the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).
They said intelligence agencies have detailed evidence about the camps run with active support of the Pakistani Army and the ISI, where terrorists of the LeT, the JeM and the Hizbul Mujahideen, among others, underwent physical and motivational training. The dossier had details about the camps' locations, strength and which camp was under the direct supervision of which formation of the Pakistani Army, said the sources.
The training camps are learnt to have been operating from Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Manshera and Mankoot. Terrorists like 26/11 Mumbai attack convict Ajmal Kasab and his module as well as Udhampur attack accused Mohd Naved trained in these camps.
