Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar on Saturday said that everyone has the right to expand their party.
"Everyone has the right to expand their party. Wherever Eknath Shinde goes in the state, he can say that he wants to saffronise the district. In the same way, CM Fadnavis can say he wants to see the BJP's flag in the whole district. Similarly, I can also say that I want to see NCP's flag everywhere in the state. But there is nothing special about it. We have decided to be united. It's people who decide who gets the mandate. We keep interest of the state ahead while working," he said.
BJP MLA Satish Upadhyay on Saturday alleged that AAP govt ran the Delhi assembly in anarchy for 11 years.
"...The way this (AAP) government ran the assembly in anarchy for 11 years, this government spent the tax money collected from the hard-earned money of Delhi on its own luxuries, spent it on advertisements to make its party a national-level party... looted Delhi's money, did corruption due to which today they do not have the courage to sit in the assembly and face what they have done. Trinamool Congress leaders on Saturday began a door-to-door campaign to scrutinise the electoral rolls amid allegations of voter list manipulation by the BJP ahead of next year’s assembly polls in West Bengal.
Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim personally carried out the voter list verification drive in the Chetla area of south Kolkata.
The protest of ASHA workers enters its 22nd day, demanding their honorarium to be raised to Rs 21,000 and that they should receive Rs 5 lakh as retirement benefits.
"Mamata Banerjee does corruption in everything related to elections including voter list which is why she wins, and not by public vote... Mamata is against Hindus... I demand that the Rohingyas who migrated here and became the voters should be ousted...," he said.
Union Minister Suresh Gopi visited the ASHA workers' protest in front of the Secretariat. The protest has been ongoing for the past 20 days. The workers are demanding an honorarium of Rs 21,000 and Rs 5 lakh as retirement benefits.
Speaking to media post his meeting with protesting ASHA workers, he said, "...The kind of methods that I just discussed with ASHA workers now, which was not a promise, but which is an idea which erupted in my heart...So, I am carrying it to the PM and also the Health and Social Welfare Ministers of the country. So that a countermeasure will be emulated by the PM. It should rather support perhaps whatever they are craving..."
