Satish Jarkiholi dismisses talk of coup in Karnataka Congress, terms B Y Vijayendra statement ridiculous

Jarkiholi, who is considered close to Siddaramaiah, said the Congress government is stable and would complete its full term.

Chitradurga: Rubbishing reports of a possible coup attempt to dismantle the Congress government, Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi said on Friday there won’t be any Maharashtra-like development and that no leader would take the splinter group (of MLAs) to the BJP like Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde did in the neighbouring state.

Dismissing the statements by BJP leaders B Y Vijayendra and B Sriramulu the Congress will soon witness a coup, Jarkiholi told reporters here, “Karnataka BJP is grappling with factionalism. The saffron party may face the coup. Sriramulu’s statement that an influential Congress leader would join or ally with the BJP, along with a group of party MLAs, is ridiculous.”

“It is not right to say that the Congress government would fall just because Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar was seen with Union Home Minister Amit Shah at a programme of Isha Foundation,” the minister said.

Satish, who is considered close to Siddaramaiah, said the Congress government is stable and would complete its full term.
