India's domestic air passenger traffic crosses 4 lakh mark a day: Union Aviation Minister Scindia

For the first time in the past two years, India crossed over 4 lakh daily passengers record on April 18.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said, “After COVID-19 era, we have today crossed over 4 lakh daily passengers record. it's a historic day for Civil Aviation Ministry. I have faith that in the coming days we will maintain this record.”

Amid rising COVID-19 cases in the country, the minister cleared confusion about the necessity of RTPCR test while boarding domestic flights and said, “RTPCR is no longer required for domestic travel, but many states, as per their thought process, have some rules.”
