Union Minister for Communication and Information Technology Ravishankar Prasad said the Modi government had taken the country from a state of “gloom to growth” and from “despair to hope” in its one year rule.

Addressing the media here, Prasad said that the previous regime had indulged in corruption, resulting in losses to several sectors, thereby hampering growth and development.

Digital India, Make in India and Skill India, formed the triangle on which the Modi government wanted to rebuild India.

Meanwhile, taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi for ridiculing the Modi government as “suit-boot”  government, Prasad said the NDA government was neither “suit-boot”, nor “suitcase” government.
