Jagan meets Jaya, Karuna for united AP

YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy, who is on a whirlwind tour across the country to convince other party leaders for a united Andhra Pradesh, met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha on Wednesday to seek her support on his stand against bifurcation of his state.

Jagan along with his party leaders met Jayalalitha at the state secretariat and submitted a memorandum.

Reddy also met DMK chief M Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram residence in the city.
A special CBI court recently allowed Jagan to visit Chennai as part of his tours, to meet leaders of political parties to mobilise their support against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He had already met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her Orissa counterpart Naveen Patnaik seeking their support in favour of his fight against separate Telangana state.

Earlier in the morning, Jagan was accorded a warm welcome by hundreds of his supporters at Chennai airport on Wednesday. The YSR chief is expected to travel to Lucknow to meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.
