The British High Commission in India Thursday said it is working with local authorities to urgently establish facts about the London-bound plane that crashed soon after taking off from Ahmedabad airport and provide support. "We are aware that a flight from Ahmedabad to London has crashed near Ahmedabad airport. We are working with local authorities to urgently establish the facts and provide support. Our thoughts are with all those affected," the British High Commission here said in a brief statement on its official X handle. (PTI)

Air India Plane Crash Updates | Family of four perished in devastating Air India crash

London-based Javed Ali flew down from the United Kingdom to Mumbai to meet his ailing mother. 

However, Javed (37), an Indian, came with his wife  Maryam Ali (35), a British citizen and their two kids - 8-year-old son Zayan, and 4-year-old daughter Ameen, and stayed for a week in the Goregaon western suburbs of Mumbai. 

However, the entire family of four perished in the devastating Dreamliner crash. 

Javed, a hotel management graduate, was a hospitality industry professional, the family members said. 

“They were here for a holiday... now all gone,” his his uncle Ayub Shaikh, who had rushed to Ahmedabad. 

“Javed, an NRI, has been living in London for the past several years,” a family member said. (DHNS)
