“I was happy to go around the museum which has been set up during my lifetime... something which is very rare,” he told reporters after the visit.
Kalam said the museum was the initiative of Dr Shivathanu Pillai, Director of Brahmos, and said it was set up in such a way as to attract tourists from all over the world.
He said he was impressed with a photograph of a fighter plane in which he was seated and remarked that it was his childhood dream to fly in a fighter plane.
The museum also has Kalam’s childhood photographs, contributed by his family members. The former President of India also spent some time with his brother Muthu Meeran Marakier and niece Joharammal.
