Former Team India cricketer Vinod Kambli and his wife, Andrea Hewitt, are facing trouble for beating up their domestic help and caretaker of their kid.
The upmarket Bandra residents have been accused of beating up the 30-year-old domestic help, Soni Sarsal, of beating her up, not paying her money and confining her in their flat for three days.
“Soni Nafesinh Sarsal has made a complaint at Bandra Police Station against Vinod Kambli and his wife that they had not allowed her to return home and wrongfully confined her for three days when she asked them for the wages,” said Dhananjay Kulkarni, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Detection), who is also the Mumbai Police spokesperson.
The Bandra police station has filed an FIR against the celebrity couple under the Indian Penal Code Sections 34 (common intention), 342 (wrongful confinement), 504 (insult to provoke breach of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, act or gesture to insult the modesty of women).
