She had won the Grand Prix Award from India by the International Screening Committee on April 2, for the Mitsubishi Asian Children’s Enikki Festa 2008-09. The prize package includes a study tour to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Of the 6,503 participants in an International Children’s Drawing Competition organised by Mitsubishi and UNESCO, Achar was selected to Vietnam as the only representative from India.
