Around 1.10 lakh employees of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation and Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation will go on an indefinite strike from tomorrow in protest against the managements 'unilaterally' taking a decision on wage revision.

The employees, belonging to five different unions, had demanded that the management revise wages only after holding discussions with the members.

Speaking to reporters, Spokesperson of the unions H V Anantha Subburao alleged that the management has transferred about 400 employees in last few months.

KSRTC Managing Director Manjunath Prasad said the demands of employees are illegal. "With the 10 per cent hike, we are incurring an expenditure of Rs 880 crore," he said.
