Two persons were killed on the spot in a collision between a car and a lorry on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway near Yeliyuru on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday night.
The deceased have been identified as Sadam (27) and Pervez (25), both residents of Shamanna Garden in Bengaluru. They were bound for Mysuru in their car when the accident occurred.
According to the police, the car tried to overtake a lorry when it collided head-on with another lorry coming from the opposite direction. Both died on the spot. The rural police have registered a case.
