According to police, the deceased have been identified as Mahadev (27) and Mallesh (38). Both were the residents of Odeyarapalya in Chamarajanagara. The duo had come to work in the coffee estate of Vinu Poovaiah. It was said that intoxicant Mahadeva was drawing water when he accidentally fell into well. To save Mahadev, Mallesh jumped into well and drowned. The bodies could not be traced till evening. A case has been registered.
