2 students contract H1N1 in Gadag

The H1N1 infection in two students of final year MBBS at Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences has been confirmed and they are being treated in the intensive care unit of the institute, reports DHNS from Gadag. The students were suffering from fever, and were getting treatment as outpatients. The lab report of their throat swab has now confirmed that they have H1N1. Institute director P S Boosareddy said the condition of the students is stable. Meanwhile, a 58-year-old woman died of H1N1 in Chamarajanagar. The deceased has been identified as Nagamma (58). The tests had confirmed that Nagamma was suffering from H1N1 flu. She died on October 29.
