Students who want to pursue higher education in the Netherlands can now apply for the Orange Tulip Scholarship, in which 19 universities are offering affordable education.
Launching the 2018-19 round of the scholarship at Bengaluru Tech Summit on Friday, Dutch Ambassador Marten Van den Berg said 55 scholarships in bachelors and masters courses totalling a value of about Rs 3.65 crore. “As many as 5 lakh engineers pass out of Indian universities and Netherlands’ industry requires 35,000 engineers,” he said.
Noting that India will be home to the world’s youngest workforce by 2027, he said the Netherlands has much to offer to talented students and professionals.
The scholarship is offered in the form of a fee waiver at the universities, some of which are also helping students’ accommodation. Deadline for application varies depending for different universities. Visit https://www.nesoindia.org for more information.
