When children Sheela (9), Ammu (7) and Shilpa (5) were seen wandering near Jyothi Circle, public informed the Childline and Police. Later, they were handed over to the CWC.
It was found during interrogation that the children belonged to Shivanna and Chandramma couple of Hassan district. Children also revealed a shocking fact that their father Shivanna, who is a drunkard, had killed mother Chandramma before throwing them off to streets. Another newborn brother of the three children was sold to a neighbour.

Shivanna and Chandramma couple had 6 children. While elder brother Gopal (19) is in jail for committing theft, another brother Babruvahana (16) has been sent to the Observation Home in another theft case. Finally, three children were forced to beg in the city as nobody was there to take care of them. Meanwhile, it was also revealed that children were addicted to petrol and other chemicals to satisfy their hunger. CWC member Geo D’Silva told Deccan Herald that they will be given treatment for de-addiction and later they will be rehabilitated.
