The deceased were identified as Raju (29), Srikanth (23), Mukund (32), Kapil (29) and Gyanoba More (42). Gyanoba More was the driver of the SUV and all the victims hailed from Maharashtra.
Police said the passengers in the SUV were returning from a pilgrimage to Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh and heading towards Maharashtra. The lorry was on its way to Hyderabad from Humnabad when the accident occurred.
Six among the seven injured were treated at the Government Hospital in Humnabad and one seriously injured was shifted to Solapur City. A case has been registered at Mannakhelli police station and investigation is on.
