The Mysuru district administration has dispatched a team of 80 pourakarmikas (civic workers) to rain ravaged Kodagu to participate in rescue operations.
The team left to the flood-affected areas of Kodagu on Sunday evening, carrying flood relief materials with them.
While 40 of the civic workers belong to the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), the remaining 40 were picked from different taluks. MCC authorities said, younger workers were selected and sent.
