Condemning the corruption in the UPA government, the members of ABVP and YAS staged a protest by blocking the road at Hanumanthappa Circle in Chikmagalur on Tuesday.

The ABVP had called for the college bandh. The students shouted slogans against the UPA government and urged Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to tender resignation, for having failed to check corruption.

ABVP state leader Kumare Gowda said “the UPA government is filled with scams like scam in the allocation of coal blocks, Tatra truck, 2G spectrum, Commonwealth Games, Adarsh Housing and so on. The citizens have lost faith in the UPA government. The students should come together and raise their voice against corruption,” he added.
