Chief minister-designate H D Kumaraswamy on Monday hit back at BJP national president Amit Shah for terming the Congress-JD(S) alliance “unholy”.

He also wondered where Shah had “disappeared” after the results of Karnataka elections were announced.

Targeting questions to Shah on social media, Kumaraswamy said, “It will be one week since Karnataka election results were declared. During this period, Shah had literally disappeared. Today, I noticed him appearing before media and criticising coalition in Karnataka. He has asked the JD(S) and the Congress what we are celebrating. We are celebrating the fact that a secular government is being formed by keeping a communal party, which rules by dividing people on the lines of caste and religion at arms distance.”

“What is a holy alliance? Was it trying to purchase legislators elected on some other party symbol?” he said.
