Former chief minister Jagadish Shettar expressed confidence on Tuesday that they would succeed in taking the Arkavathi Layout denotification case to its logical conclusion.


He was addressing reporters in the city. Shettar claimed credit for exposing the scam on the floor the House, Shettar, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, said. 

Documents totalling 800 pages had been submitted to the Justice Kempanna Commission, he said, adding that he was confident of the truth coming out in the case after an impartial probe.

He said 703 acres of land had been denotified unilaterally on the excuse of High Court and Supreme Court directions. Shettar said Siddaramaiah would certainly be found guilty in the case.

Shettar said that they would provide documents to the Governor, if he gives them an appointment, regarding deletion of 119 acres out of the 703 acres without any basis. He said that a criminal case would definitely be filed against the chief minister in the case.
