As the House assembled at 11 am on Wednesday, the Opposition continued its dharna. The Opposition members didn’t heed to Speaker K G Bopaiah’s suggestion to return to their seats. The Chair took up question hour, even as Opposition members shouted slogans against the government.

When the Bills were being passed, the Congress and JD(S) boycotted the proceedings by staging a walkout.

“It is a murder of democracy. The Speaker has joined hands with the Government,” Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah said before leading the walkout. The House then took up the motion of thanks to the Governor for his address to the joint session of the legislature. Finally, the Speaker adjourned the House for the day.
