Awareness walk on climate change

The walk will cover Jagar, Muttodi, Joladal, Anuru, Alduru, Moodigere, Daradahalli, Hanubalu, Shanivar Santhe, Somawarpete, Madikeri, Talacauvery and later on proceed to Bangalore, via Mysore and Mandya, in 20 days, Federation president N K Pradeep said here on Wednesday.

The team members will visit various schools and colleges to create awareness on the impact of climate change on the coffee industry.

A memorandum will be submitted to Jayanthi Natarajan, Union Minister of Environment and Forests, to raise the problems of coffee planters at the Convention on Climate Change - ‘COP17’ to be held at Durban in November.
