Hazarath Baba Hyder Ali’s real name was Sayeed Ismail Badshah Sabunath Iran. He came to India to spread Islam where he become a seer. He took Khilafat from Hazrath Baba Thabale Alambadashah of Tamil Nadu and travelled across South India to spread the religion of Islam. There after he stayed in Mulbagal.
Hazrath Baba Fakhruddin Penukonda started the urs celebration here 756 years ago. the urs is still celebrated grandly even to this day. Devotees from neighbouring state and Uttara Pradesh come here to attend the Urs celebration.
List of the programmes of urs celebration are as follows: On July 3 Jogi Gadee Nasheen, July 4 Abhishekotsava in Darga, Gandhotsava celebration on July 5, wrestling competition on July 6 and Qawwalli will be held on July 7 day and night, stated a press release.
