Responding to call by Central and state units of All India Rural Bank Employees Association, the employees boycotted work. They also demanded that daily-wage labourers and messengers be made permanent. Employees’ representatives should be included in the board of directors, they added.
K P Ashwinikumar, Anand C Hegde, Sathyanand Swamy and others of the association were present.
