Addressing a press meet here, Academy President M B Abdul Rahman said ‘Daff’ art form has a history of 1,400 years. In the past, it was restricted within the framework of religious activities. Now there are more than 60 varities of Daff kunitha and songs in Kannada as well. The mela will be inaugurated by Kannada and Culture department Director Manu Baligar.
