Mangala Angadi, the BJP candidate for the Belagavi Lok Sabha constituency, filed four sets of nomination papers for the byelections, here on Tuesday.

She submitted her nomination papers to the District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Dr K Harish Kumar.

Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K S Eshwarappa, Angadi submitted the first set of nomination papers.

The second set was submitted in the presence of Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi and Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Anand Mamani. And the third set was submitted in the presence of MLAs Abhay Patil and Anil Benake.

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel accompanied Angadi while submitting the fourth set of nomination papers.
