Kolar, once again, topped the list with four debarments. A Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) official said a large number of students were caught copying in the district due to ‘intense’ monitoring.

The sitting and flying squads in the district were doing a fine job and not letting any student off the hook, D Venkateshaiah, Director, KSEEB, said.

“Other districts should learn a lesson or two from Kolar,” Venkateshaiah said. Kolar is followed by Bijapur with three debarments, while two students were picked in Gadag district. Chikballapur, Bagalkot, Gulbarga and Raichur districts account for one debarment each.
